Heyday Media Group is excited to announce its newest release on the company’s record label, NocturnalSol —a project called In This Together. Set for release on November 20, In This Together is a compilation to benefit Sound Art, a unique non-profit organization devoted to providing underprivileged inner city youth a comprehensive, hands-on music education taught by industry professionals. Where budget cuts are creating voids in music education, Sound Art is stepping in to keep music alive as an empowering creative outlet for self-discovery, community involvement, and change.
True to its spirit, In This Together will give 30% of all proceeds to Sound Art, and the remainder will be divided equally among all of the contributing artists and Heyday. The project features an array of artists including Sound Art’s very own youth performance group (Breed Street Rookies), who wrote and recorded the title track, “In This Together.” The compilation also spotlights original, unreleased recordings from Heyday artists as well as voices from around the globe (including from St. Lucia, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom).
According to Heyday Founder and President, it is through their mission that Sound Art and Heyday align -- coming together in the name of music and youth.
